As the urban center of the Inland Northwest, Spokane blends historic charm and friendliness with the energy and cultural offerings of a much larger city. The 1974 World's Fair brought Spokane to the vanguard of the environmental movement, and the 100-acre Riverfront Park is the lasting jewel from the fair. Built on reclaimed rail yard, the park has walking trails, a historic carousel, an IMAX theater, and a SkyRide over Spokane Falls. Best of all, the park is steps away from the Convention Center, making this your back yard during the Meeting.

As the business, medical, educational, and entertainment hub of the Inland Northwest, Spokane is home to a myriad of cultural and recreational opportunities. Recognized as the heart of this three state, two province region, you can enjoy shopping and dining, winery tours, museums and galleries, Broadway and the symphony, biking and golfing… whatever you're looking for, you'll likely find it right here.

Join the Lilac City for Bloomsday 2014
A true community event, Bloomsday is a 12k race of monumental proportions. Every year, more than 50,000 people participate by running or walking the course. Bloomsday has the most entrants and finishers in the world for a race of its length. This year's race takes place on the first day of the meeting, Sunday May 4th, making participation a great way to kick off the 2014 meeting. The Annual Bloomsday race attracts over 50,000 participants. This year you can be one of them!
Meeting Venues and Lodging
Spokane Convention Center
Sitting along the banks of the Spokane River, this impressive facility will host our exhibit hall and all education sessions and activities on Monday and Tuesday.

Shuttle Service

Complimentary shuttle services will run between The Davenport Hotel and the Spokane Convention Center on Monday and Tuesday. Buses will run every 10 minutes prior to the start of and at the conclusion of the meeting events each day. Buses will then run every half hour throughout the middle of the day and an on-call shuttle is available from the hotel as well.

Sunday May 4th
1:00 pm – 5:30 pm – Every 30 minutes. Serviced by one of our 12 passenger shuttle vans.

Monday May 5th
6:30 am – 9:00 am – Every 10 minutes. Serviced by two (55 passenger) buses
9:00 am – 4:00 pm - Every 30 minutes. Serviced by one of our 12 passenger shuttle vans.

Tuesday May 6th

Prior to the meeting, you will receive an e-syllabus via email. The e-syllabus will have links to all of the speaker presentations for the meeting, and will also include meeting details such as an up-to-date schedule. The e-syllabus is available for you to review speaker handouts and, if desired, print them before you come to the meeting.

Complimentary Wi-Fi

To access the Internet and the e-syllabus during the meeting, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the Davenport Hotel and the Spokane Convention Center.

Upon Registering

Once we receive your registration, we will email you a confirmation/receipt within five working days. If you do not receive your receipt within this time frame, please contact Rachel Perkins at the WSMGMA office at rep@wsma.org or by calling her at 206-956-3646. Meeting registration cuts off May 1; register on-site after that.

On-Site Check-in

Upon arrival at the pre-conference sessions on Sunday, please check in at the registration desk located on the Mezzanine level at the Davenport Hotel.

Upon arrival at the meeting on Monday, please check in at the registration desk located at the Spokane Convention Center. Name badges will be issued at the time of check-in. Name badges are required for access to all educational sessions and networking activities. See the enclosed registration form to order tickets for your spouse, who will also need a name badge to access networking events.

Meeting Notebook

At check-in you will be provided with a Meeting Notebook that includes an updated schedule, room locator maps, and other essential meeting information.

What to Wear

Attire at this conference ranges from business casual to totally casual. Be sure to dress in layers since meeting room temperatures may vary, and be sure to bring a light jacket.

Professional Networking

Networking is essential to your overall success as a practice manager, and we can all learn great things from one another. This meeting offers a number of networking opportunities, including the opening night reception on Sunday, dinner program on Monday, as well as two opportunities for specialty networking held during breakfast on Monday and Tuesday in the Exhibitor Marketplace. Make the most of this conference to grow your base resources and opportunities for information exchange.

ACMPE Credit Hours

This program is eligible for American College of Medical Practice Executive (ACMPE) Credit Hours. To apply this program toward your ACMPE continuing education requirement, simply calculate the total number of clock hours you spent in educational sessions and enter your hours online in the My Transcript area of www.mgma.com.

While no other accredited CME or CE hours have been arranged for this meeting, a general certificate of attendance is available for you to download so you can self-apply for credit with your professional organizations.
